Having owned a 280 and a 280 2+2 parts car i can tell you there are alot of hidden issues that will bite you in the butt. I would be vary wary of any datsun with aftermarket body kits of any type, including G nose, door fillers, etc. These are often used to hide signs of rust. Also, anything that has been painted could also very well be just covering up rust. I'd be more than happy to go over one with you, but you best bet would be to take it to Banzai Motorsports in MD for a PPI BEFORE buying it. He's expensive, and I wouldnt want to pay him to do work on it, but he can do a good job of inspecting it. Last i heard, there was a BEAUTIFUL low mileage, garage kept 260z w/cams, triple webers (booo down draft carbs), etc. for sale by a NoVA Z Car club member. This was probably a month or two ago, so who knows if it has sold yet. those datsuns are incredible cars, but they rust like hell in places you'd never expect. The Battery tray, under the rear hatch, frame rails, etc. will ALL rust out given time. I spent a good amount of money ($5k) for what turned out to be a rust bucket. Don't make the same mistake I did :)
